MEET THE AUTHOR

Meet the Author

Hi! I'm Teuta Selimi, a children's author, educator, and early childhood consultant passionate about creating stories that inspire kindness, courage, empathy, and confidence.

Teuta Selimi (pronounced TEH-oo-tah Seh-LEE-mee) was born in Pristina, Kosovo, and has lived in New York City since she was 18. She holds dual bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education and a Master of Arts in International Education with a focus on Development from New York University (NYU). Throughout her career, she has advised early childhood education programs, developed curricula, and helped educational institutions create engaging, child-centered learning experiences.

Inspired by her nieces and nephews and her lifelong love of storytelling, Teuta created Little Hero Chip—a heartwarming children's picture book about courage, kindness, trust, friendship, and overcoming fear. The Little Hero Chip collection now includes the original picture book, a coloring and activity book, and an animated story, with more adventures already in development.

When she's not writing, Teuta enjoys reading, traveling, graphic design, and dreaming up new adventures for Chip.

Her mission is simple: to create stories that help children grow into kind, confident, and compassionate people—one adventure at a time.
